April 01 At least 10 Militants have been Killed in the ongoing Encounter in South Kashmir's Shopian District. 3 Militants have been Killed in the Kachdoora area of Shopian, Sources told The Kashmiriyat. The 44 RR,  CRPF  and zainpora police cordoned off Dragad area of sugan village after receiving inputs that a group of militants are hiding in the area. Sources that as soon as forces cordoned off the area,  militants hiding there fired upon them which was retailated triggered encounter. Government Forces have laid down a massive siege in the area and more troopers are being rushed to the area, Official sources confirmed to The Kashmiriyat. 7 Militants have also been killed in the Dragad area of Sugan Shopian while more Militants are believed to be hiding in the area. April 01 A Civilian has been killed in the ongoing Clashes in Shopian District of South Kashmir on Sunday. A Civilian identified as Niyaaz Ahmad from Kachdoora Shopian has been shot dead. Details Emerging.

April 01 At least two dozen people have been Injured in the Ongoing Massive Clashes that erupted in Shopian District of South Kashmir. Meanwhile people of Shopian have poured on the streets shouting Pro Militant Slogans. There have been reports of Protests from Sugan  Zainpora, Dragad and Kachdoora areas. Clashes reportedly have erupted in Many other Localities of Shopian. A Complete Shutdown is being observed throughout South Kashmir including Islamabad, Pulwama and Kulgam. Meanwhile Internet and Railway services have been snapped across South Kashmir.  

April 01 Seven Militants have been killed in the ongoing Shopian Encounters which may include Zeenat ul Islam. Two encounters are currently underway in Jammu Kashmir's Dragad and Kachdora villages of Shopian district. So far, one Militant has been killed while another arrested. Five Army personnel is injured in Shopian's Kachdoora, another injured in Dragad. The encounters started began late on Saturday night. Police and Army’s 44 Rashtriya Rifles (RR), 3 RR, 34 RR, and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) are part of the operation at both the places. The DGP of Jammu Kashmir Police has confirmed that 7 Militants Bodies have been recovered from the encounter site which includes top commanders as well.  

April 01 50 People have been injured in the ongoing Clashes at Shopian, while 20 of them have been referred to Srinagar for treatment. Intense clashes between protesters and government forces erupted near gunfight sites in south Kashmir’s Shopian district where two gunfights between militants and forces are underway Sunday. Gunfight raged at Dragad area of Sugan and Kachdora villages of Shopian, official sources said. Hundreds of protesters assembled and pelted stones on forces who retaliated with tear smoke shelling and pellet firing at both Kachdora and Draged. Earlier army said that a militant has been killed at Draged village during the gunfight.

A joint team of the Army, J&K police and CRPF launched three separate operations on Saturday night after they received information about the presence of militants in Shopian and Islamabad. March 31 The body of a teenage girl, who disappeared three weeks ago, was found in a stormwater drain in district Poonch early Saturday morning. The initial postmortem report revealed that the 16-year-old girl was gang-raped and then murdered, the police said. The girl, who hails from a surrounding area of Ali Sojal, had disappeared about three weeks ago, her parents said. The family also staged a protest after the body was found and claimed that they registered a complaint when she disappeared but the area police had done nothing in this regard.   

March 31 Clashes erupted in Soura area of Srinagar after police detained a boy on Saturday, Sources told The Kashmiriyat. Sources said that Police resorted to tear gas shelling to quell the agitated people. As per Eyewitnesses, the students of a local school hit streets after a boy from their school was detained. “Students including girls came on roads raising anti government slogans and demanded release of the detained student,” eye witnesses told The Kashmiriyat. Vehicular movement has been disrupted in the area. “Stone pelting too erupted and police used tear gas to disperse them,” locals said. Protests in the area were going on when this report was filed.

March 31 Two persons were electrocuted in  Budgam district in Central Kashmir on Saturday while they were travelling on a bus roof. "The two came to contact with an electric wire at Watrehail in Budgam ," Sources told The Kashmiriyat. March 31 A Cop of Jammu Kashmir police has been shot at in South Kashmir's Islamabad District on Saturday, Sources told The Kashmiriyat. Unidentified Gunmen Shot the Policeman near Khanabal Point area of the District early morning on Saturday. The Cop has been identified as Trilok Singh aged 33, a resident of Tral posted as SPO at Police Station Islamabad, hospital officials told The Kashmiriyat. They also said that Trilok has received a Bullet injury on his chest. The Cop is being treated at District Hospital Janglat Mandi, Officials told The Kashmiriyat, Details emerging.
