The Supreme Court on Thursday reserved its verdict on a plea challenging the government's decision to constitute a delimitation commission for redrawing the Legislative Assembly and Lok Sabha constituencies in Jammu and Kashmir on grounds that it violated constitutional provisions. A 25-year-old youth was found dead under mysterious circumstances in a rented accommodation in the Banihal area of Ramban district on Thursday. Suhail Dar At least four cowsheds were damaged in a massive blaze at the Tulbagh area of Shangus in south Kashmir's Anantnag district. Locals told The Kashmiriyat that during the intervening night of Friday and Saturday four cow-sheds belonging to Abdul Majeed Khan and Mohammed Rafiq Khan, sons of Mohammed Ayoub Khan, were gutted in a massive fire mishap. They said that fire tenders along with locals and Police tried to control the fire, however, when the fire was brought under control, dour sheds had been gutted. The Jammu Kashmir police on Friday claimed to have recovered and defused an Improvised Explosive Device planted in a mini-bus in Ramban district. In a statement, issued to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), a spokesperson said on a reliable input a joint team of police, CRPF and Army established a check point at Nashri. The statement reads during checking a mini-bus was intercepted and passengers were de-boarded from the vehicle safely.
