
Since 2005, Gurez craves for gynaecologist; Pregnant women worst sufferers
The residents said Wednesday that the Gurez Valley in northern Kashmir’s Bandipora district has been craving a gynaecologist since 2005.
“It was in 2005 when there was a gynecologist here. Since then, this place has been demanding gynecologists but to no avail,” said Block Medical Officer (BMO), Gurez Dr. Tahira Nazir, who handles multiple roles at the sub-district hospital Gurez for the last 17 years.
