At least 100 BJP activists from Jammu quit party over Delimitation report

At least a hundred BJP activists from the Suchetgarh area along the international border in the Jammu district quit the party protesting against the Delimitation Commission proposal of merging the assembly constituency with Ranbirsingh Pora. Reports said that the activists protested at the BJP office in Jammu against the delimitation proposal. They were seeking the restoration of the Suchetgarh constituency that was created more than 43 years ago. Meanwhile, the chief of the National Panthers Party, Prof.Bhim Singh, President of urged President Ramnath Kovind to dissolve the present Delimitation Commission by using his sovereign power to save peace in Jammu Kashmir.

Senior People’s Democratic Party leader and former MLC from Poonch district of Jammu region, Yashpal Sharma died after suffering a massive cardiac arrest last night, family sources said on Sunday.
