Sheikh Amir, has demanded registration of an FIR against the organizers and speakers of the 'Dharam Sansad' for allegedly giving blasphemous and violence provoking speeches. The Spokesperson in his complaint, addressed to Station House Officer (SHO) of Baramulla Police Station, has demanded registration of FIR under section 153A, 295A and other relevant sections of IPC against the accused persons. There has been a slump in business and developmental activities in Jammu Kashmir over the last two and a half years and people are heading towards poverty, senior Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad said. In a veiled attack at the BJP, Azad said the autocratic rule of the maharajas was far better than the current dispensation, which stopped the traditional practice of the biannual "Darbar Move". Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) General Secretary (organization) Ashok Koul Sunday said the party will open its account in upcoming assembly polls and stated that they are committed to development in the region.
