Shift KP employees to Jammu till situation improves in Kashmir: Azad

Democratic Azad Party (DAP) chief, Ghulam Nabi Azad on Monday said that there is a need to make difference between militants & non-militants and the Kashmiri Pandit employees should be shifted to Jammu till situation in Kashmir improves. Talking to reporters on the sidelines of a function in Anantnag, Azad as per the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) said that every individual should not be looked through the prism of militancy. “There is a dire need to make difference between militants and non-militants as everyone should not be looked as a suspect,” he said. He added Kashmiri Pandit employees, in wake of the targeted killings don't want to stay here and they should be shifted to Jammu till the situation improves.—(KNO)

New Land laws may start darker chapter of othering Kashmiris: Sajad Lone

The Peoples Conference president Sajad Lone on Thursday hit out at the Manoj Sinha led admin and questioned the new land lease laws in Jammu Kashmir stating that the new land policy is not at par with the rest of the country. “It (land policy) may well start the dark chapter of now blatantly othering the Kashmiris. Lease rules across the world and in India are fairly simple and on similar lines. But these are different and not without motives,” Sajad Lone said, in a tweet. Recently the Jammu Kashmir administration framed the new Land Lease Law 2022 under which leaseholders of commercial properties were asked to hand over properties to the admin with the latter providing compensation for the structures built on the property by the former.

Shabir Khan  The Government forces on Saturday morning found an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) in north Kashmir. Official sources told The Kashmiriyat that suspected militant had planted an 18 kilogram IED on the Bandipora—Sopore road near Ashtangoo.
