A 60-year-old labourer died after a glass stack came crashing down on him while unloading the material from a vehicle in the Mattan area in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Thursday afternoon. Authorities have restored Mughal road – connecting Poonch and Shopian districts – after halting the vehicular traffic movement along the thoroughfare on Thursday morning following snowfall on intervening Wednesday and Thursday night in the region. A20-year-old MBBS student from Srinagar has died of ‘unascertained’ cause in Jammu, officials on Thursday morning said. They said that one Yameen, 20, pursuing his MBBS degree from ASCOMS Batra, putting up at Asarabad Flat Sidhra was brought to GMC in unconscious condition on Wednesday evening. However the boy was declared dead on arrival by the doctors there, they told GNS adding the cause of death was however not immediately ascertained.
