Anayat, son of Mohammad Abdullah Ziger, a driver by profession according to his friends left home on 26th January, soon after Saqib Shafi Dar along with his associate was killed in an encounter at Khonmouh area of Pampore. Modi to Visit Srinagar’s Dal Lake tomorrow

February 02 Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Jammu and Kashmir tomorrow to inaugurate and lay foundation of several development projects here. According to an official spokesperson, the PM will also inspect Dal lake in Srinagar. Srinagar- Jammu Highway Remains Closed

February 01 The Jammu-Srinagar national highway remained closed on Friday for the second consecutive day due to fresh snowfall and landslides, officials said. Traffic department officials said there has been fresh snowfall in the Banihal area, and landslides at some places in the Banihal-Ramban stretch of the road. “Around two feet snow accumulated on the road. Landslides have occurred at Anokhi Fall, Panthal and Kela Mode,” a traffic department official said. “No traffic movement will be allowed on the highway on Friday except for the stranded vehicles and that too, only after the road is cleared,” the official added. Inclement weather has led to the closure of the strategic Jammu-Srinagar highway this winter many times.

Woman slips from bus, gets crushed to Death

January 31 A woman was killed after she slipped from the bus she was travelling in and got crushed under a moving bus at Dalian village area of Nowshera in Rajouri district of Jammu Kashmir. Reports revealed that the Lady identified as Pholan Begum slipped from a bus on Thursday noon. Pholan was crushed under the bus after getting down from it, they said. Aerial traffic too might get suspended due to poor visibility conditions. Militants attack Army Patrol in Baramulla’s Pattan

January 28 Suspected Militants on Monday evening attacked a patrol of Indian Army.
