Protect the Grave of Yusuf Shah e Chak- Omar Urges Bihar Government

January 22 Former Chief Minister of Jammu Kashmir, Omar Abdullah has urged the Bihar Government to protect the the burial ground of Yusuf Shah Chak, the last independent king of Kashmir. Omar tweeted, “I request @NitishKumar ji to protect this part of Kashmir’s history that lies far from the valley in Bihar.” National Conference vice president was reacting to a report titled “Forgotten in a field far away: Grave of an exiled Kashmiri king lies in ruins in Bihar” published by The Hindu. Militants Attack Army’s Patrollling party in Pulwama

January 22 Militants on Tuesday noon attacked a patrol of Indian Army in South Kashmir's Pulwama District, Sources told The Kashmiriyat that on Tuesday noon, Militants attacked a patrol of 55 RR in Gundipora area of South Kashmir's Pulwama District. As per initial reports nobody has been injured in the attack. A Cordon and Search operation has been launched in the area to nab the attackers. However an Official denied any attack having happened and said that Army fired a few aerial shots after coming under immense stone throwing near Pahoo area of Pulwama.

Militants Killed in Budgam Encounter Identified- Bodies to be Handed over to Families Shortly

January 22 Three Militants were killed in an encounter in Hapatnar forests of Chrar e Sharif area in central Kashmir's Budgam district on Monday. January 22 Rayees Shah Employees of National Health Mission (NHM) on Monday staged a protest  in central Kashmir's Ganderbal district demanding regularisation of their services. The employees while holding placards raised slogans against the government for “failing” to fulfill their demands. January 22 Two Militants have been killed in the encounter that started in the apple orchards of Shermal area in South Kashmir's Shopian District. January 22 An exchange of gunfire took place between Militants and Government Forces in the Shermal area of South Kashmir’s Shopian District early morning on  Tuesday.
