Several residential houses in villages along Line of Control in Tanghdar sector have developed cracks in the aftermath earthquake, a top police official said. Senior Superintendent of Police Shriram Ambarkar Dinkar told GNS that his office has received reports about several residential houses in the villages including Hajinar, Prada, Taad, Kandi to have developed cracks in the fallout of earthquake. “We are ascertaining the damaged caused by the earthquake in other parts of the district as well and details will be shared accordingly”, the top-police official said. DCs Asked to Submit Details of Employees Aged 48, Complete 22 years of Service

The administration of Jammu Kashmir asked the Deputy commissioner of 10 Districts of the Kashmir valley to forward the details of the employees who have completed 22 years of service or attained the age of 48 years of age. The Office of the Private Secretary Divisional Commissioner Kashmir today issued an order to Deputy Commissioners of 10 districts of Kashmir division asking them to forward the details of the employees who have attained 48 yrs of age or more and completed 22 yrs of service as ending in December 2021. The matter was referred to as Urgent in the order, The order number Div/com/ PS? MISC/2020/ 3126 did not specify the purpose of such information.

Schools to Reopen from March 01 in Kashmir

The authorities on Friday said that all the government and private schools in Kashmir valley will reopen on March 1 after 8 months after the outbreak of COVID-19. Director School Education Kashmir, (DESK), Mohammed Younis Malik, said that there is no confusion as they have already issued the order that all schools will be reopened on March 1st after a gap of eight months. Pertinently, the winter vacation in Kashmir schools was announced on December 10 and the schools are now set to open on March 1. The director school of education said that before reopening of the schools there will be sanitization and cleaning of schools 5 days before. “We have issued the guidelines to the school heads to ensure proper cleaning and sanitation of classrooms,” he added. The Doctors Association Kashmir (DAK) on Friday said most of the doctors, nurses and paramedical staff in Kashmir are opting out of Covid-19 vaccine. The PIL seeking a ban on cow slaughter and enacting strict laws on it was rejected by the High Court. A division bench of Chief Justice Pankaj Mithal and Justice Rajneah Oswal asked the petitioner to place his demand before the Chief Secretary of Jammu Kashmir. In the PIL filed in the High Court, the NGO demanded a stringent law against cow slaughter in Jammu Kashmir so that cow slaughter can be stopped in the state.
