October 05 Two workers of National Conference have been shot dead and another was critically wounded when unknown gunmen fired upon them in Karfali Mohalla area of Srinagar city. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that the unknown gunmen fired upon the NC workers  on Friday morning. The three workers are believed to be close aides of NC MLA for Habbakadal Constituency Shamima Firdous at Karfali Mohalla. In the incident, three activists of NC suffered injuries and were shifted to hospital for treatment. October 04 The Jammu Kashmir Police on Thursday claimed to have busted a module of Hizbul Mujahideen by arresting two of its members including a Border Security Force (BSF) personal from frontier Kupwara district of north Kashmir. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that that two Hizbul Mujahideen activists including a BSF man were arrested by SOG during a raid at Lolab last night. The arrested persons were identified as Shakir Ahmad Wani son of Mohammed Ramzan Wani and Ghulam Mustafa Sheikh son of Abdul Ahad Sheikh, both residents of Tekipora, Lolab. October 03 The National Investigation Agency of India (NIA) raided the house of Shakeel Ahmed, a son of Syed Salauddin on Wednesday. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that on Wednesday the NIA raided their residence at Rambagh in Srinagar and conducted a search operation inside the house of Syed Shakeel Ahmed. Shakeel was arrested the last month in a hawala case and is lodged at Tihar jail in New Delhi for last one month.

October 03 The Government Forces on Wednesday  launched a cordon and search operation in the Daywarwani area of Batamloo in Srinagar District. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that on Wednesday, the forces including CRPF and Jammu Kashmir police sealed all the entry and exit points to the Dayrwani area. Locals told The Kashmiriyat that a heavy contingent of forces reached this Srinagar locality and are conducting a search operation in the area.
