No Leaves to Policemen from South Kashmir

August 27 With the militant attacks on policemen on leave witnessing a surge in south Kashmir, the Jammu Kashmir Police have asked the Police Training Schools in the state not to grant any leave to trainees from the region. August 27 Petrol and Diesel shortage has hit many places of the Kashmir valley including the districts of Islamabad (Anantnag), Shopian, Pulwama and Kulgam. Many people complained of oil stations refusing to fill oil due to the shortage of petrol and diesel on the oil stations. "We do not know why, but they refused to fill in my car with petrol, they said they have no oil in the station," a local Nadeem Ahmed told The Kashmiriyat. In the absence of needed oil to fill into vehicles, a huge rush is being witnessed at very few oil stations who still have oil available. Eight Persons arrested in Rajouri for Unlawful Activities

August 26 The Jammu Kashmir Police on Sunday arrested Eight persons allegedly involved in unlawful activities including drug trafficking in Rajouri District. A Senior Police official said that the eight were today taken into preventive custody in Rajouri district of Jammu Kashmir, a senior police officer said.
