At least 125 Government Force Personnel Killed Since 2017

July 04 The year 2017 which was one of the bloodiest year since 2010 witnessed 284 causalities which included 93 Government Force personnel. The List included 52 Army soldiers, 33 Jammu Kashmir Policemen, 05 CRPF personnel, 02 BSF men and one security man from Sahastra Seema Bal. Even though the Indian Government claimed to have conducted Cross Border Surgical Strikes, but the stats prove that there has been no real change since the strikes were carried out. Cloudburst Hits Tral, 4 Recovered from Flashfloods in Udhampur

July 04 A cloudburst hit the Gutroo and Naristan areas of Tral in south Kashmir’s Pulwama, triggering flash flood in these areas and the flood waters damaged a road in Aripal village. One Dead Body Found in Srinagar Lake

July 04 A dead body was retrieved from Nigeen Lake in Srinagar a day after a boat carrying four people capsized in the lake after getting caught in a windstorm. The deceased has been identified as Umar Ahmed from Ellahi Bagh of Srinagar. Two among the four managed to swim back, while two were missing, the body of a missing person was retrieved today morning while as search for the other missing person is still underway.

5 Amarnath Pilgrims Die, Landslides Block Mughal Road

July 04 Rayees Shah Three pilgrims died and many injured due to landslides during pilgrimage to holy Amarnath cave shrine in south Kashmir Himalayas. Two pilgrims also died due to cardiac arrest today, reports said. Meanwhile the traffic on Srinagar-Leh  Highway was disrupted for some time on Tuesday evening due to landslides at various places along highway triggered by heavy  rains , reports said. They said that due to incessant rains that lashed valley on Tuesday evening , landslide occurred at Sumbal Bala , Aku Gund and Bajri Nallah along Sgr-Leh highway due to which the road remained blocked for hours . Hundreds of vehicles remained stranded on both sides on the highway.

20 Year old Dies while taking bath in baramulla

July 03 A youth died after he drowned while taking a bath in a local Stream in Goshbugh, Pattan area in north Kashmir’s Baramulla on Tuesday. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that a 20 year old boy identified as Riyaz Ahmad Yatoo from the same area was taking a bath in a local stream when he drowned. Police Arrested HM Militant and an OGW

July 03 The Jammu Kashmir Police claimed to have arrested a Hizb-ul-Mujahideen (HM) militant, and an Over Ground Worker (OGW) from Kishtawar on Monday. They identified the Militant as Rameez Ahmed Wani and the over ground worker as Nissar Ahmed Ganie. The Police said that ammunition was recovered from their possession saying that with the arrests, a terror module of the HM outfit has been busted and their plot to carry out strikes at different places and revive militancy foiled. During sustained interrogation of Nissar Ahmed, Police recovered three magazines of AK-47 rifle from his possession along with 90 live rounds, they said.
