April 03 Thousands of people including women gathered early morning on Sunday to bid farewell to the ‘martyr’ at his funeral. Women later marched towards his house singing songs of bravery, “Qoum Ke Shaheedo, Goor Goor Karyo” (Farewell oh martyr of the motherland). Forces upon fire inside hospital in Shopian Hospital, ‘Do not target them’: Shopian Doctors Request

April 02 The Government forces today indiscriminate firing upon protesters inside the district hospital in Shopian township after clashes erupted in the south Kashmir area. Eyewitnesses told The Kashmiriyat that after the funeral of the local militant, Zubair Ahmed Turray killed in an encounter, the forces fired tear smoke shells toward people. "Clashes spread to all nearby areas and the forces soon entered the hospital to retrieve the dead body of the slain militant Zubair Turray," they said.
