2 Militants Likely Killed, Massive Gunfight Underway

July 10 Two Militants reportedly have been killed in the ongoing gunfight with Government Forces at Kundalan area of South Kashmir's Shopian District. Intermittent firing is going on at Kundalan area of Shopian District in South Kashmir between Militants and Government forces where an encounter raged early morning on Tuesday. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that three Militants are believed to be trapped at the encounter site including a Militant whose father died of a cardiac arrest. Massive Gunfight Breaks out in North Kashmir

July 08 An encounter has started between Militants and Government Forces in Khanpora Magam in Handwara area of North Kashmir's Kupwara District Official sources told The Kashmiriyat that RR of Indian Army, Jammu Kashmir Police and CRPF jointly launched the Anti Militancy operation. The Encounter started when Militants fired on a patrolling party of Government forces near the forest area. Earlier Forces had launched a Cordon and Search Operation in the area upon receiving a specific input about the presence of Militants in the area, Sources told The Kashmiriyat. Clashes Erupt in Islamabad Area after Arrest of 2 Boys

July 08 Intesne Clashes erupted over the arrest of two boys in Damhal Khashipora area of South Kashmir's Islamabad (Anantnag) District on Sunday. Locals told The Kashmiriyat that two boys were arrested after a minor stone throwing incident in the area earlier today. The Government Forces had earlier taken off the posters of Burhan Wani when youth came out on the streets to protest the removal of posters. The Forces later in large numbers patrolling the streets arrested two boys after which the locals came out on the streets. Shouting Pro Freedom and Anti Police slogans, came out on the streets and threw stones on the forces who in retaliation fired tear smoke shells on the protesting Locals. July 07 Mobile Internet services have been barred in Islamabad (Anantnag) and Kulgam Districts after three civilians were shot dead in Redwani area of SOuth Kashmir's Kulgam District. Telecom Officials told The Kashmiriyat that Internet services have been blocked in Islamabad (Anantnag) and Kulgam and will be shortly suspended in Pulwama and Shopian.
