Geelani admitted in SKIMS, to change ‘battery of pacemaker’

May 04 Hurriyat Leader Syed Ali Geelani on Saturday was admitted again in Sher e Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences Soura. Sources close to Geelani said that he has been admitted in the hospital as he has to ‘change the battery of his pacemaker’. “Doctors are conducting necessary investigations and will accordingly proceed with the procedure,” they said. Geelani few days back was admitted in the hospital following abdominal pain.

65 Year old Woman Crushed to Death by Truck in Sopore

Another Militant Killed- Death toll Rises to 3 in Shopian Encounter

May 03 Three Militants have been killed during an encounter between militants and Government forces at Adkhara area of Imam Sahab in South Kashmir’s Shopian District. Officials told The Kashmiriyat that on Thursday morning 34 RR of Indian Army, CRPF and Jammu Kashmir Police after receiving inputs about Militant presence in the area laid a cordon and search operation in the area around 3:30 am. The cordon continued for nearly three hours, during which the hiding Militants opened fire on the troopers triggering an encounter. May 02 Rayees Shah A Youth identified as Shafat Ahmed Malik son of Mohammed Yousuf Malik has gone missing from his home in the Kangan area of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district. The family has appealed him to return home saying that Shafat had left for SMHS Hospital in Srinagar for a medical check-up on April 28 but he has not returned home since.
