“I am Being Harassed by Forces”- Video of Shopian Youth Who joined Militancy today Appears on Social Media

April 27 A 57- Second video of a 22 year old youth, Shakeel Ahmed Dar, whose photo claiming that he had joined Hizb ul Mujahideen is doing rounds on Social Media- claiming that he is being pushed to join Militancy. "I am being harassed by Forces including Police and Army, I pray that i die alongside Militants, i am being constantly pushed to work as an informer by forces," he is heard saying in this video. The face of the youth in the video purportedly shot in 2018 shows a masked youth who claims that he is  Aijaz Ahmed Dar from Tukroo Shopian. Two Including Minor Dead in Gurez Road Accident, 9 Injured

April 27 Rayees Shah A woman and a minor girl died while nine others suffered injuries during a road accident in Gurez area of North Kashmir’s Bandipora district. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that a woman Nani Begum aged 50 and minor girl Tabasum Jan aged 10, died when a Sumo vehicle bearing the registration number JK01F-6330 on its way to Gurez fell down into a deep gorge. In this mishap, nine others suffered major injuries and were evacuated to nearby hospital for treatment. The condition of one of the injured person is stated to be critical. A police officer confirming the accident said, “A case has been registered under relevant sections of law and further investigations have been taken up.”

Pellets Rained on 11-Year old Boy in Kashmir’s Islamabad (anantnag) Township- Shifted to Srinagar for Treatment

April 26 The Government Forces on Friday evening resorted to pellet firing on protesters in the Islamabad (Anantnag) township of South Kashmir, injuring an 11 year old boy. Eyewitnesses told The Kashmiriyat that during a minor stone throwing incident near the Deputy commissioner's office in the township, the CRPF men deployed inside the DCs office fired innumerable pellets on the protesters. During the pellet firing, one kid identified as Muzammil Ahmed Darzi (11), a resident of Qazi Mohalla in the Islamabad (anantnag) township, who is a student of class 5 was ht with pellets in his abdominal area. CASO Launched in Native of Riyaz Naikoo

April 26 The Government Forces on Friday evening launched Cordon and Search operation (CASO) in Beghpora area of Awantipora in South Kashmir's Pulwama District. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that a search operation has been launched by 55 Rahstriya Rifles, Jammu Kashmir Police and  CRPF jointly in Beighpora area. Following specific inputs about Militant movement, All the entry and exit points of the area have been sealed on Thursday. A door to door search operation has begun, Locals told The Kashmiriyat. Militants Attack Police Station in Srinagar

April 26 Suspected Militants on Friday evening attacked a Police Station in Kashmir's Summer Capital Srinagar. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that on Friday evening Militants fired upon Police station in Srinagar's Chanapora area, injuring one Policeman critically. The Policeman has been shifted to the nearby hospital for treatment, a Police official told The Kashmiriyat. He said that Police have launched a search operation in the area to nab the attackers.

Five Gamblers Arrested in Bandipora

April 15 Jammu Kashmir Police on Thursday arrested five gamblers and recovered stake money from them in north Kashmir district of Bandipora. A police official said that following specific information, a police team raided a gambling site at Sumbal in Bandipora. "During the raid, police apprehended five people, while they were gambling," they added.

Explosion Leaves Four Injured in Budgam Area

April 25 Huzaif Riaz At least four people have been grievously injured due to explosion of an air compressor of a tyre repairing shop in Aaripanthan village of Budgam district this morning. An eyewitness told The Kashmiriyat  that the explosion took place in a tyre repairing shop located in Aaripanthan area of Magam in central Kashmir's Budgam district this morning at around 10:40 am and four persons who were near to the tyre shop suffered injuries. The injured were taken to Magam hospital where doctors referred them to Srinagar for advanced treatment where their condition is stated serious but out of danger. The injured were identified as Reyaz Ahmad son of Mohammed Shafi, Raja son of Reyaz Ahmad both residents of Beerwah, Khursheed Khan son of Ghulam Rasool  and Sajad Ahmad.
