April 18 The Government forces opened fire on protesters in Hafroo in Chadoora area  of  Budgam district on Thursday afternoon resulting in injuries to a woman. Three Injured as Forces Open Fire Upon Protesters in Budgam

April 18 The Government Forces on Thursday afternoon opened fire upon protesters in Hafroo area of Chadoora in Central Kashmir's Budgam District, which is going to polls today in the second phase of Lok Sabha elections 2019. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that hundred of youth stormed onto the Hafroo streets shouting pro Freedom and Anti India slogans, when Force personnel deployed in the area fired upon them. They said that three youth have sustained injuries in the firing incident, who have been rushed to the nearby Chadoora hospital Meanwhile clashes also erupted in Beerwah, Kandoora, Chewdara, Kawoosa and Rathsun villages of the district.

Policeman Injured as Intense Clashes Continue in Chrar e Shareef

April 18 A policeman was injured on Thursday during stone p elting in Chrar-e-sharief area of district Budgam in central Kashmir. Sources said that a constable identified as Muzamil Ahmad 836/AP 5th battalion received injuries at his leg during stone pelting at Boys Higher Secondary School Chrar-e-Sharief. Meanwhile, the polling for the second phase of Lok Sabha election is underway in the state’s Udhampur and Srinagar parliamentary constituencies.

LS Polls: Presiding Officer Dies of Heart attack in Srinagar

April 18 Skinder Gull As people are going to poll for the second phase of Lok Sabha elections being held in Srinagar constituency, a presiding officer of polling booth no 85 at Government Middle School Wazah bagh Amira Kadal suffered a heart attack. Reports said that presiding officer identified as Zuhaib Bazaz suffered a heart attack during the poll duty. Soon after the incident, Bazaz was referred to Srinagar’s SMHS hospital for the treatment. However upon reaching the hospital, he was declared dead.
