September 21 An important meeting of Ummat e Islami was called today by its vice chairman Mir Muntazir Gul in South Kashmir's Islamabad town. The members of Political wing participated in the meeting besides the district presidents of the socio political amalgam. Mir Muntazir Gul briefed the members about the deteriorating health of Mirwaiz Qazi yasir who is undergoing treatment in a hospital. He asked the members of the amalgam including those of the religious wing to pray for the speedy recovered of the ailing Mirwaiz of South Kashmir. Gunfight Rages in Bandipora

September 20 A gunfight broke out between militants and Government forces in North Kashmir's Bandipora village on Thursday. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that 14 RR of India Army, SOG of Jammu Kashmir Police and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation at Shukbabun area of Sumlar village of Bandipora. Two Shopian Youth Arrested During Nocturnal Raids

September 20 Nocturnal raids were conducted in Saidpora Bala area of South Kashmir's Shopian district late night on Wednesday. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that forces entered the Saidpora locality arrested two youth during the raids conducted during the intervening night of Wednesday and Thursday. Massive CASO Launched in Bandipora Area

September 20 The Government Forces on Wednesday launched a cordon and search operation in the Shokbaba area of Sumlar in North Kashmir's Bandipora District. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that the forces including RR of Indian Army, and Jammu Kashmir police sealed all the entry and exit points to the Sumlar area. Locals told The Kashmiriyat that a heavy contingent of forces reached this Bandipora locality and are conducting a search operation in the area.
