Shepherd slips to death in forest area of Kangan

A shepherd died after he slipped from a cliff in the upper reaches of Baba Nagri Kangan in Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district. Police sources told the news agency Kashmir News Trust that a shepherd had gone to a forest area to take care of the live stock. While walking on the cliff, he had a fall and died on the spot. Police sources identified the deceased as Muhammad Amjid Raina son of Muhammad Amin Raina a resident of Baba Nagri Wangath. Police have registered a case in this regard. [KNT]

Divisional Commissioner Kashmir VK Bidhuri Monday said every house, street, and heritage in Srinagar district to get a Unique Identification Number which will help every individual and authority to identify the person or place without any inconvenience. "The allotment of Unique ID is a process that has been taken under Smart City Project. In Srinagar it was executed earlier on trial basis and soon will be extended to beyond Srinagar," Divisional Commissioner Kashmir VK Bidhuri as per KNS said. Meer Irfan In a trafic incident, one brother died and another is battling for life when the duo received electric shock in Shopian. Locals told The Kashmiriyat that on Monday morning, the siblings were repairing an electric wire in the Babapora area of Shopian when they received an electricity shock on an electric pole. Both of them fell down from the pole and were immediately rescued by the locals who rushed them to the nearby hospital. At the hospital, Mashooq Ahmed Hajam (24) was declared brought dead while another brother Irfan Ahmed (27) was shifted to Srinagar hospital for advanced treatment.
