Srinagar-Leh highway shut due to fresh mudslides in Ganderbal

Rayees Shah The Srinagar-Leh highway was closed on Monday following fresh mudslides triggered by rainfall in the Kullan Gund area of Central Kashmir's Ganderbal district. Officials told The Kashmiriyat that thee highway was immediately shut down after the mudslides occurred this evening, completely blocking the route. Restoration efforts are underway with men and machinery deployed to clear the debris, they said. Additionally, the SSG road has also been blocked near Shah Mohallah Kullan, and traffic has been rerouted through an alternate link road.
