After Dal and Nigeen lakes, the Manasbal Lake in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district has also embraced water sports. Four persons were been killed after a truck was hit by a boulder in the Sher Bibi in Banihal area of Ramban district. An official told The Kashmiriyat that on Tuesday morning, a truck bearing registration number (JK03J-0312) on way from Jammu towards Srinagar was hit by a massive boulder and it skidded off the road. He said the truck rolled into a deep gorge, killing all the four occupants on the spot. The official said police and rescue teams rushed to the scene and recovered the bodies. Over 4,000 militants who fled Jammu Kashmir in the last three decades and are operating from Pakistan are likely to lose their properties in Jammu Kashmir. According to the Jammu Kashmir admin, around 4200 militants who are living in Pakistan have been listed among the "proclaimed offenders" by the government of India and their properties are being attached. Quoting unnamed officials, WION reported that authorities have already started the drive by seizing the properties and agencies like the National Investigative Agency (NIA) and State Investigative Agency (SIA) are involved in the seizure. A non-local labourer died after he was allegedly manhandled by another non-local labourer during a scuffle in central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Monday. Police arrested the accused and charged him with the murder. Sources said that there was a scuffle between two labourers from Bihar working at a brick kiln in Gondipora Beerwah. The scuffle led to the death of Shatrudhan Ram son of Chulhai Ram, a resident of Gawas Nagar Bihar. In this connection the accused namely Sajan Das son of Kapal Das of Gosa Nagar Bihar was arrested and lodged at police station Beerwah. Suhail Dar Water pipes will soon be inside every home in the Benaad region of Salar in south Kashmir's Anantnag. The locals' persistent requests for water service have gone unheard over the last 60 years. This was possible only after a local named Mohammed Maqbool Mir, a 50-year-old resident of the area donated his land free of cost for the construction of a borewell, from where water will be supplied to over hundred houses. "People in this area had been craving for water. We have to use natural water resources for bathing and drinking purposes but the water is not always feasible for drinking purposes. Police on Sunday claimed to have arrested two drug peddlers including a police SPO and recovered contraband substances from their possession in Baramulla. A police party of Police Station Sheeri headed by SHO PS Sheeri under the supervision of DySP Hqrs Baramulla at a checkpoint established at Gantamulla Crossing intercepted two persons, reads police statement issued to The Kashmiriyat. Residents of Bodpora Kremshora area of central Kashmir's Budgam district hit the streets against the PDD department alleging that the electric lines were cut off without any notice. Protestors told The Kashmiriyat that it has been four days since their electricity has been cut off leaving them in darkness. During the protest, the angry protesters asked the concerned department to restore their electricity at the earliest. "The electricity was not cut by PDD line men but rather some civilians which is illegal, We are 10 households without electricity alleged a protestor."
