The J-K administration has announced the naming of 17 schools across J&K after the name of martyrs of Jammu and Kashmir Police Pariwar among the total 30 schools and a road as per the order. Director General of Police (DGP) Dilbag Singh has extended his gratitude to Government of India, Lt. Governor Jammu & Kashmir Manoj Sinha and his administration for naming the government schools and roads in Jammu Kashmir after the slain J&K police personnel and SF personnel. Man critically wounded after being stabbed by unknown persons in Qazigund

A man was critically injured after he was attacked by unknown persons at his native village Baihama area of Qazigund in South Kashmir's Kulgam district on Monday evening. An official told The Kashmiriyat that some unknown persons attacked a man (name withheld) resident of Baihama, Qazigund with a sharp edged weapon, injuring him critically. He said that man was taken to Emergency Hospital Qazigund for treatment where from he has been refered to GMC Anantnag for treatment. Locals told The Kashmiriyat that residents of the Khambiyar area in Baramulla's Pattan area hit the streets to protest against PHE- the Department fr responsible for water supplies in Kashmir. The weather department here on Monday forecast mainly hot, humid and dry conditions even though chances of a “brief spell” of rain at “isolated places” have not been ruled out. A meteorological department official said that the weather was partly cloudy in Ramban-Banihal and in Kashmir valley, with rainfall at isolated places of Jammu. “Mainly hot, humid and dry weather is expected during the next 24 hours. Rain may occur at isolated to scattered places of Jammu & Kashmir towards late afternoon and evening, although chances are less,” he said. The family members of a man from Kulgam have appealed to the general public and Police to help them trace their kin. Identified as Mohammed Ashraf Bhat, a 40-year-old resident of Zangalpora area Kulgam, he has been missing from his home since August 12 from his home in the south Kashmir district. After over six years, a health and wellness center in Dadoo area of Bijbehara hamlet in Anantnag district is awaiting completion. The residents of the Dadoo area said that the work on the health and wellness centre in the area was started around six years ago but the building is yet to be completed.
