In the Srinagar district of central Kashmir, a couple was arrested for allegedly impersonating as an IAS officer and IPS officer. An official told The Kashmiriyat that a couple identified as Manmohan Ganjoo and his wife Ayoush Koul were arrested for impersonating as officers. The two had duped several persons of Lakhs of rupees and promised their jobs and transfers along with other favours, he said. "A couple arrested for Impersonating as IPS & IAS Officer. Locals told The Kashmiriyat that on Monday morning scores of people attended the funeral of Mehran Ahmed Mir who passed away in Canada recently. They said that Mehran passed away in Canada after he suffered a heart attack on July 30 and his body reached to his home in Civil Lines area of Tral on Monday morning for his last rites.
