A soldier ended his life by allegedly hanging himself in a washroom at the old Airfield area of central Kashmir’s Budgam district. Official sources said that a soldier identified as Mahesh Kumar was found dead in the washroom. His colleagues found him hanging with a rope and informed the authorities. The incident occurred at 256 Transit Camp and the deceased was affiliated with 34 Rashtriya Rifles. Police have taken cognizance of the incident and registered a case under relevant sections of law. Suhail Dar Former member of Jamiat Ahli Hadith and senior citizen Anantnag town died after brief illness in the south Kashmir district. Locals told The Kashmiriyat that Abdul Aziz Narchoor (Rehmani) who ran a medical store (Rehmani Medical store) at Janglat Mandi Anantnag died on Sunday morning. The 70-year-old was formerly a member of Jamiat Ahli Hadees Jammu Kashmir and was highly respectable among locals in the south Kashmir town. Hyderpora Killings: Amir Magray’s family gets to visit grave after 20 months

After a protracted legal battle, the Magray family of Ramban district visited the grave of their slain son Amir Magray in north Kashmir’s Kupwara and offered special prayers. Magray was among four people killed in Hyderpora on the outskirts of Srinagar on 15 November  2021. Police had claimed that they were militants and buried their bodies in a graveyard in Kupwara. His father Mohammad Latief said the family feels relieved after offering prayers at the grave of their son. An army soldier allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself with his service riffle in north Kashmir's Baramulla district on Monday officials said. They told news agency Kashmir Scroll that one soldier (name withheld) who was posted at Baramulla's Rastriya Rifle camp near Guru Nanak High School, commited suicide by shooting himself with his service riffle inside the unit. Meer Irfan Armed with knives, unknown persons entered a residential house in the Imam Sahib area of Shopian and decamped with gold and other valuable possessions. Speaking to The Kashmiriyat Shaheena wife of Nisar Ahmed, a resident of Arakhera Imam Sahib said that on Monday morning a person followed Shaheena when she was returning to her home. "The person followed me to the stairs and then asked me to handover my golden earrings. I initially refused doing so. But then he got out a knife and also asked me to handover the ring in my fingers," Shaheena said. The person also decamped with cash of rupees three thousand rupees approximately and threatened Shaheena to keep mum.
