An Army soldier died in an “accidental discharge of his own weapon” in Mankote sector of Poonch district on Wednesday, officials said. A army soldier belonging to Rashtriya Rifles (RR) recieved serious bullet wound after his service rifle went off accidentally. Jammu Kashmir admin have announced that the kins of those killed in militancy-related incidents will get a reservation in MBBS and BDS quota. The policy will be applied to the central pool MBBS/BDS Seats. A notice released by the Jammu Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (BOPEE) stated that those students who have lost both their parents or the sole breadwinner of their household in a militant attack will be considered eligible for this quota.
