Police Recover Brown Sugar From Two Drug Peddlers In North Kashmir

Police in North Kashmir’s Handwara recovered Brown Sugar from two drug peddlers, official sources said. They said a police party intercepted two drug peddlers at Sonmullah Crossing Check Point and during frisking 10 grams of Brown Sugar were recovered from them. Both were arrested and an FIR vide number 102/2022 under section 8/21 NDPS Act was registered against them at Police Station Vilgam. Police sources identified the duo as Shabir Ahmad Lone of Budnamal Chowkibal and Shakeel Mir, a resident of Zunreshi Kupwara. (KNT)

Department of Health and Medical Education on Saturday said that registration on Hospital Professional Registry (HPR) portal of Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission is mandatory for doctors and nurses working in government as well as private sector. Kashmir’s bat manufacturers are facing losses in the face of willow shortage. A spokesperson of Bat Manufacturers Union Fawzul Kabeer told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), that the industry has been producing bats and is meeting about 85 percent of the total demand of world cricket since 1920. Sarjan Barkati, as per his family, has been arrested by the Police, from his house in the Reban area of Shopian district of South Kashmir late on Saturday morning. A family member of Barkati told The Kashmiriyat over the phone that the Forces entered into the house of Barkati in Reban around 6:45 AM and detained the religious cleric.
