As the guns of India and Pakistan have fallen silent after a ceasefire agreement last year, at least 112 cross-LoC marriage have taken place bringing back the old memories and a sorts of re-union among relations. According to details gathered by the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), at least 112 marriages ceremonies have been taken place during current year in Keeran, Machil, Bangus, Tanghdar, Gurez, and Uri along the LoC in north Kashmir. A 22-year-old youth, who was injured due to an electric shock in Central Kashmir's Ganderbal district on Tuesday evening, succumbed to his injuries at SKIMS Soura An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the youth namely Danish Nisar (22) son of Nisar Ah Rather of Gangarhama was injured due to electric shock, while unloading a truck at Bamloora. Former Union Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad, who quit the Congress last week and has decided to float a political party, will hold a public meeting on Sunday at Sainik Colony in Jammu. This will be his first meeting since he snapped his nearly 50-year-long association with Congress. The public meeting is scheduled for 11 am. Mr Azad has said he will launch a new party soon and the first unit will be formed in Jammu and Kashmir in view of impending assembly polls. Four people including three non-locals were arrested in Srinagar's Batamaloo area for theft. Police on Tuesday said that three Non-Locals and 1 local thief were arrested for stealing from many places including a home at Sir Syedabad, near Iqbalabad, Batmaloo. "One CCTV footage had went viral 2 and during the investigation, four persons were identified who have been taken into detention," Police said. Three militants on Lashkar-i-Toiba oufit were killed in a gunfight in Nagbal area of South Kashmir’s Shopian district on Tuesday. Officials sources told GNS that three militants of LeT were killed and their bodies were also recovered from the encounter site. Earlier a joint team of Police and army launched a cordon and search operation in the area.
