The Jammu Kashmir administration on Friday issued an order asking the Doctors posted at Government hospitals to abstain from private practice during work hours. In the order accessed by The Kashmiriyat, the Manoj- Sinha-led administration has said that the admin has observed that certain Doctors borne on the establishment of the Health and Medical Education Department are indulging in private practices during official hours as well as while they are on duty rosters in the Government Health Institutions. "This is in violation of Civil Services Conduct Rules as well as various guidelines issued from time to time and also goes against the ethics of public service for which the doctors have been appointed by the Government," the order read. Militants attack forces in Bijbehara, one Policeman critically injured

A policeman was critically injured on Friday in a militant attack in Bijbehara area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district, officials said here. An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that militants fired upon a special police officer (SPO) in Kir Kadal area of Bijbehara, resulting in critical injuries to him. He said that soon after the incident the injured SPO was immediately rushed to SDH Bijbehara for treatment, where his condition is said to be critical. A 19-year-old non-local worker from Bihar has been shot dead by unknown gunmen in North Kashmir’s Bandipora district. The incident took place in Sadunara village in Ajas Tehsil falling under the jurisdiction of police post-Ajas.
