The Hurriyat Conference headed by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq on Wednesday called for a bandh in Kashmir to pay tributes to Moulvi Mohammad Farooq and Abdul Gani Lone on their death anniversary on May 21. The separatist amalgam asked people to visit Eidgah, where the two leaders have been laid to rest, and offer prayers for them. Abdul Gani Lone, a prominent Hurriyat leader, was assassinated in 2002 during a rally to mark the death anniversary of former Mirwaiz of Kashmir Moulvi Mohammad Farooq in Srinagar. A 13-year-old Budgam boy, who had gone missing since May 13, has been traced in Jaipur city of Rajasthan state. Family members of the missing boy told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that Tanveer Hussain a resident of Daffpora Nasrullahpora, left home after his parents scolded him for not studying. "When Tanveer didn’t return till late evening, the family searched for him everywhere but couldn't trace him for almost six days." Sahil Gulzar One person died during a road accident in the Rajpora area of south Kashmir's Pulwama district. Locals told The Kashmiriyat that on Wednesday a scooty was hit by a Tata matador in the Rajpora area of Pulwama district of south Kashmir, causing injuries to the scooter rider. The Locals rushed him to the Rajpora hospital from where he was referred to SKIMS in critical condition. Identified as Imtinan Muneer Wani, a resident of Firdous Colony in Bemina of Srinagar, he was declared 'brought dead' upon his arrival at the hospital.

The British government of the Conservative party told the House of Lords on Tuesday that it is monitoring the trial of Indian Kashmiri leader Yasin Malik. Responding to a question, Minister of State in the Foreign Office, Lord Tariq Ahmed, said: “On the specific issue of the trial of Mr Yasin Malik… we are monitoring it very closely. We do note he has been charged under the Indian law… and therefore we cannot intervene in the independent judicial process of India directly.
