A court in Reasi has ordered lodging of FIR against at least seven policemen following a complaint against them by a local. As per the complainant Prem Singh, the accused along with others surrounded his kacha house and tin shed from all the corners on 19 September last year. The accused allegedly put fire to pile of wood on the roof of the house as well as door, Singh said. On seeing threat to his life, Singh said that he moved with his family to his shed and closed the iron door. The accused, he said, asked him and his family to come out from house and threatened them of serious consequences in case they fail to so. A police man was injured on Saturday after his rifle went off accidentally in Budgam. A 45-year-old motorcyclist was killed after being hit allegedly by a paramilitary vehicle at Aishmuqam K.P Road near old Police Station on Saturday. Reports reaching GNS said that soon after being hit, the motorcyclist identified as Bilal Ahmad Peer son of Ghulam Nabi Peer of Latroo was evacuated in injured condition to GMC Anantnag. Chairperson Waqf Board, Dr. Darakhshah Andrabi on Saturday said that Board has decided to introduce online system for donations. She also said Waqf would soon construct a cancer hospital in Jammu and Kashmir. Surge in stray dogs in Ganderbal district has become a cause of concern for the inhabitants as they are not able to move freely. A policeman in civvies was critically injured on Saturday after militants fired upon him near Aiwa Bridge along Dr Ali Jan road in central Kashmir’s Srinagar district, officials said. A top police officer told GNS that the cop, Ghulam Hassan Dar son of Ghulam Rasool Dar of Danwar Eidgah, was travelling in his bike, possibly on way to duty at PCR, when militant fired upon him this morning, leaving him critically injured. The policeman, driver with 112 police vehicle, was shifted to nearby SKIMS hospital, the officer said.
