Tehsildar Pattan inaugurates cricket tourney in Pattan

On Friday, the inaugural match of the Serenity Casco Cricket League was played at Wanigam Payeen, Pattan in Baramulla district. The tournament was organised with the intent to promote sports and keep the youth away from the menace of drugs, a rapidly increasing issue in the Kashmir valley. Saqib Murtaza, KAS, Tehsildar Pattan inaugurated the Serenity Casco Cricket League. He, while talking on the occasion, urged youth to stay away from drugs and instead invest time in sports. Kashmiri man appointed as physio of Afghanistan cricket team

Dr. Suhail Mir, a Kashmiri, has been named the Afghanistan cricket team's physiotherapist. Dr. Suhail announced in a Facebook video that he is accompanying the squad to Abu Dhabi for a 20-day training camp. The Afghan captain hails Suhail in the video and also expresses his willingness to visit Kashmir. Prior to his current assignment with Afghanistan, Suhail worked as a physio for the Arunachal squad. Superstar footballer aged 20 from Anantnag town passes away

Suhail Dar A 20-year-old youth renowned for his football playing skills passed away after a prolonged illness in Anantnag town of south Kashmir. Speaking to The Kashmiriyat, a cousin of the footballer named Dawood Dar son of Abdul Rashid Dar, a resident of the Dantar area of the South Kashmir town said that Dawood was suffering from cancer and passed away on Wednesday evening.
