Afreen Hyder, a Kashmiri Taekwondo player, is the first athlete from Jammu Kashmir to earn a silver medal in Kyorugi. The 23-year-old represented Jammu Kashmir at the 39th National Senior Taekwondo Championships, which were held in Guwahati, Assam between September 9 and 11. The All Assam Taekwondo Association organized the Championship, which was sanctioned by the Taekwondo Federation of India and approved by the Indian Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports.
