A 20-year-old girl from south Kashmir's Pulwama district has brought laurels to Jammu Kashmir by bagging gold medal in Mixed Martial Arts Championship in Delhi. Shariya Manzoor, a resident of Nehama village in Kakapora, who is pursuing her Bachelor's from Government Degree College Pulwama wants to participate in mega international events. Owais Yaqoob, 23, a resident of Murran village of Pulwama and Maroof Hilal from Frestbal Pampore have won bronze medals in their categories in the international martial arts championship held from 18-24th July in the Philippines. A youth from Pulwama district has qualified for World Eskrima Kali Arnis Federation (WEKAF) World Arnis Invitational Championship 2022 which will begin on July 18 this year in Philippines.
