A 46-year-old woman was mauled to death by a bear in Ashmuqam area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Friday, locals said. Local sources told news agency Kashmir Dot Com (KDC) that a woman identified as Muneera Banoo (45) wife of Muhammad Shabaan Ahanger was attacked and grievously injured by the bear in his native village of Diyaroo in Ashmuqam. 30-year-old man’s body found in paddy field in Batnoor Pulwama

Body of a 30-year-old man was found under mysterious circumstances in Batnoor Shahoora area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Thursday. Reports reaching GNS said that the body was spotted in the paddy field by some passersby. Subsequently the police was informed which reached the spot soon and took the corpse into possession. Meanwhile a police official confirming the recovery of body said that based on documents found in his pocket, he has been identified as Ali Mohammad Bhat (30) of Barsoo Awantipora. Mobile internet service remained suspended for the second consecutive day in Zainapora Belt of South Kashmir’s Shopian district. The official told that the Department received information about sight of a fawn at Dandipora Larnoo earlier in the day from some locals. Soon after receiving the information, operation was accordingly planned and the fawn was captured.
