Administration on Thursday said that every government employee is mandatorily required to maintain absolute integrity, honesty and allegiance to the Union of India and its Constitution and do nothing which is unbecoming of a Government servant. In an order regarding verification of Character and Antecedents of the employees, the Government said employee is bound by the J&K Government Employees Conduct Rules, 1971 all the time during his service. These rules contain various provisions covering a wide range of activities governing conduct of employees in public and private, the order noted. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that on Friday suspected Militants fired upon a Policeman, who was critically injured in the attack. Danishwar Hameed A girl was injured in a fire that broke out after leakage from an LPG cylinder at her home in Larm area of South Kashmir's Kulgam on Friday. Officials told The Kashmiriyat that a girl named Simran Jan (20) daughter of Khurshid Ahmed Shah was injured when fire broke out from the cylinder at her house in the Kulgam area. The girl who has sustained burn injuries was rushed to the Government Medical College in Anantnag, where the doctors referred her to SMHS hospital Srinagar for specialized treatment, the official said.

Danishwar Hameed A man died on Thursday after being allegedly hit by a tractor at Damhal Hanjiora area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district. Officials told The Kashmiriyat that Javid Ahmed Ganie (35) son of Abdul Qudoos Ganie of Chachamulla Damhal Hanjipora was hit by a tractor on Thursday afternoon, resulting into serious injuries to Javid. Javid was rushed to a nearby hospital soon, however, he was declared brought dead on arrival. The official said that a case under relevant sections has been registered in this regard and further investigations into the incident initiated.

Danishwar Hameed A massive fire broke out in a footwear shop - New Choice Footwear at Laroo General Bus stand area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam on Wednesday, at around 10 pm. An official from the fire and emergency department said that fire broke out in a footwear shop in Laroo area of Kulgam. Soon after the incident, the fire tenders were rushed to the area to douse the flames, he said. The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained. Property worth lakhs has been destroyed in the incident. Reports say that the footwear shop belongs to Muntazir Amin Bhat, a resident of Laroo, Kulgam.
