Sheikh Nadeem Crops of few of farmers were damaged under mysterious circumstances in the Gasipora area of Anantnag district in South Kashmir on Saturday evening, which has created a lot of panic among the locals. Speaking to The Kashmiriyat, Ghulam Rasool (52), a local resident whose crops were damaged said that since Saturday crops of several residents have been damaged by wild boars. "Since yesterday evening, several boars have been spotted running through the fields in our area by the locals. I've witnessed this for the first time since I was born," Ghulam Rasool said. Body of a 55-year-old person was found lying inside a river near Madana bridge on Sunday afternoon. Reports reaching GNS said that the body of one Mohammad Taj son of Bagh Hussain, a resident of Potha Surankote was spotted lying inside river near Madana bridge. At least five members of a nomad family are feared dead in a cloudburst in Rafiabad area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district. Police sources told GNS that calamity struck the hilly area and hit the Bakerwal (nomad) family comprising at least five members even as numbers could vary and possibility of higher figure has not been ruled out. Soon a police party headed by local SHO rushed to the spot along with members SDRF, they said. So far one body has been reportedly found as there are inadequate or feeble communication links to the area, they said. Police on Wednesday claimed to have arrested a woman Over Ground Worker in Aloosa area of North Kashmir's Bandipora district. The mobile Internet services will be restored in Kashmir on Monday evening, top police officials told IANS. The blockade on the Internet and voice calling services was imposed in Kashmir as a precautionary measure after the death of separatist leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani on Wednesday night. The Voice calling and broadband Internet was later restored on Friday as the situation remained peaceful in the aftermath of Geelani's death. However, mobile Internet services continued to remain suspended. The Internet connectivity was being restored in phases after evaluating the situation in the valley, said the police.
