Directorate of Mid Day Meal (MDM), Department of School Education, today signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Akshay Patra Foundation with an objective of providing pre-cooked meals to 15000 students studying in Government Schools of J&K. The MoU was signed by Project Director, MDM, Deep Raj, and a senior representative from Akshay Patra. In the initial phase of MoU, two districts Jammu and Samba will be covered. On Tuesday, the District Administration under Food Safety and Standards Act 2006, imposed a penalty of Rs 187000 on various Food Business Operators for violating different provisions of the Act, here in Anantnag town. Grenade Attack at Hari Singh High Street, 05 Civilians Suffer Minor Injuries

Five civilians were injured after suspected militants hurled a grenade towards security forces in Hari Singh High street near Amira Kadal area of Central Kashmir’s Srinagar district on Tuesday afternoon. Police man killed in militants attack in Pombay Kulgam

Sahil Gulzar A policeman was killed after suspected militants fired upon a police party in Pombay area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Saturday evening. Police sources told The Kashmiriyat that militants fired upon on Police Party when it was regulating traffic in the Pombay area, in which one policeman was injured They said that the injured policeman was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
