The Regional Transport Officer (RTO), Kashmir, Syed Shahnawaz Bukhari on Tuesday said they have decided to seize the two-wheelers of those who are found riding their vehicles without crash helmets. He also said that checking squads will be constituted soon to check the bike stunt activities and immediate action in this regard. Dengue is making its way again in Jammu Division as fresh cases have been reported in the region with officials terming it an emerging threat in the coming months. However, the government said it is adopting a three-pronged strategy for the control and management of the infection. Two army personnel sustained injuries in a road accident in North Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Tuesday. Official sources told news agency Kashmir News Trust that a Casper bearing registration number 10B 008733M skidded off the road near the BDC office in Kalaroos Kupwara. Two army personnel suffered injuries who were on unit routine duty. The soldiers are affiliated with 99 Artillery Regiment.
