‘Mobile wine shop’ sealed in Srinagar district

The Excise Department Monday sealed a mobile wine shop on Boulevard Road in Dalgate area in Srinagar city. Sources told news agency Kashmir News Trust that a mobile container selling liquor to customers was sealed after the operator failed to produce a registered license. Sources said that an inspection was conducted by the excise department team and it sealed the mobile wine shop. Scores of people mostly tourists were seen buying liquor from the mobile shop when the container was sealed. Reliable sources said that the customers were being over-charged for every bottle of branded liquor. There are a couple of liquor shops on picturesque Boulevard Road that witness huge rush of local and non-local customers. [KNT]

The Border Roads Organisation on Saturday said that it will complete the restoration works on Amarnath Yatra track by Jun 15 even as the Yatra is scheduled to commence from July 1.
