Youth From Islamabad Town Joins Militancy

ISLAMABAD
June 26 A Youth from Islamabad township of South Kashmir's Islamabad (Anantnag) district who had gone missing has posed with an Assault AK 47 Rifle. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that the family of the youth had filed a missing report in the Islamabad Police station, which was confirmed by the Police officials. The youth identified as Burhan Ahmed Ganie aged 25 is a resident of SK Colony in Islamabad town outskirts and has a a physiotherapy degree. A photo available to The Kashmiriyat puts his date of joining as 24 June, that is when he had gone missing from his home. He has reportedly joined the Militant outfit, Hizb ul Mujahideen. CASO Launched in Shopian Area

June 26 The Government Forces on Tuesday launched a Massive cordon and Search Operation in the Mughalpora area of South Kashmir's Shopian District. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that 44RR of Indian Army, Jammu Kashmir Police launched the search operation jointly following a tip off about Militant Movement in the area. Shakoor’s Body Reaches Home, Area Bursts into Mourning

June 24 Last year the photo of a Militant carrying an RPG on his shoulder had stirred the security agencies in Kashmir. The photo was of a popular commander, Shakoor Ahmed Dar from the Czopath area of South Kashmir's Qazigund in Kulgam District. Shakoor Ahmed Dar had reportedly joined Militants in October 2016 but he was working as an upper ground worker for Lashkar e Taiba since 2015, as per police sources. Shakoor was responsible for many recruitment for lashkar e Taiba from South Kashmir districts, Sources said.
