2 militants involved in attack on ‘youtube journalist’ in Shopian arrested: Police

Two militants, who were involved in an attack on a YouTube journalist in south Kashmir’s Shopian district, have been arrested, police said on Friday. In a statement, issued to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), a spokesperson said during the course of investigation of case FIR No. 116/2022 U/S 307 IPC, 7/27 A Act and 16 UAP Act of Police Station Heerpora pertaining to militant attack on a YouTube journalist, a SIT was constituted. Weather department on Thursday issued an orange warning for isolated heavy rain and thunder and lightning in Jammu and Kashmir on March 31. A meteorological department official here told GNS that there was forecast for scattered light rain and thunder over Jammu and Kashmir in the next 24 hours. The move comes after the Regional Transport authorities said it received multiple complaints regarding the use of private vehicles as taxis by the general public as well as government offices. Sheikh Nadeem A shopping complex was damaged in a nocturnal blaze in the Wandevalgam area of Kokernag in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district.
