Four militants killed in twin encounters with the Government forces in south Kashmir’s Shopian district have been identified as associates of Jaish-e-Mohammed and Lashkar-i- Toiba outfits. A police spokesman in a statement said that Police along with RR of Indian Army and CRPF killed four local militants in twin encounters in Shopian district of South Kashmir. The Government of India on Tuesday declared 10 militants presently staying in Pakistan as terrorists under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act -1967. Pertinently, the police had claimed that a 25-year-old youth Asif Ayoub Padroo of Potriwal village of Shopian was seriously injured when the service rifle of a cop at a Naka in Hall village went off accidentally.
