Haircutting rates fixed in Kashmir valley

The Directorate of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs has fixed rates for different services offered by barbers, including hair cutting and shaving in the Kashmir valley. As per an order issued by Director FCSCA the previous notifications issued on the subject by this Directorate and pursuant to Section-2 of the Consumer Protection Act-2019 were revised. “Simple Hair Cutting (Adult) Rs 55, Baby hair Cutting Rs 55, Children Hair Cutting Rs 50, Razor Hair Cutting, Rs 55, Simple Shave Rs 55, Khat Shave Rs 45, French Cut Rs 50, Threading full face Rs 45, Threading half face Rs 35," the notification reads. “This notification shall have an immediate effect,” the order read.

Two bodies were recovered in two separate incidents in Qazigund and Pahalgam areas of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Friday, officials said here. A man was found dead in Nussu Badragund area of Qazigund, while an unidentified body was also found in Pahalgam in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Friday. An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that body of a man was spotted by some locals in Nussu village of Qazigund, who accordingly informed the police. The family of a 17-year-young boy who has been missing from Monday  from his home in Kokenag has appealed him to return home. Family members told The Kashmiriyat that Faisal Ahmad Najar son of Ghulam Ahmad Najar a resident of Hiller area of Kokernag in south Kashmir's Anantnag district. "He left home for some work on Monday but didn't came back until now," family said The family members have appealed to him to return back. "It is a humble and sincere appeal to everyone to help share this message more and more to get their son to return to him back to the family," the family members said.

12-year-young boy critically wounded after being hit by two-wheeler in Anantnag

Suhail Dar On Wednesday afternoon a 12-year-old boy was hit by a two-wheeler in Shangus area of south Kashmir's Anantnag district. The boy has been identified as Surjeel Fayaz Beigh son of Fayaz Ahmed Beigh, a senior journalist who is resident of Shangus and studying in Elite Public School. Family members told The Kashmiriyat that he was getting off the school bus when a too wheeler hit him after which he was rushed to the Shangus hospital. The Doctors at Shangus referred him to GMC Anantnag, where his condition is said to be critical.

A motorcyclist was injured after he was allegedly hit by Army vehicle in south Kashmir's Kulgam district. Reports reaching said The Kashmiriyat said that an accident took place between an Army vehicle and a motorcycle bearing registration number JK03B 7178 at Balsoo in Kulgam district. The accident resulted in injuries to the motorcyclist identified as Subzar Ahmad Bhat son of Late Lassa Bhat, a resident of Laroo Kulgam. Army soldier killed, 3 others injured in fratricidal firing in Surankote

An army soldier was killed and three others injured in an alleged fratricidal firing at a camp in Surankote area of Poonch district on Friday, official sources said. They told GNS that the fratricidal firing incident happened between soldiers of 156 Territorial Army and one of them Sepoy Ibrar Ahmed died on the spot while three others including Sepoy Makan Singh, Naik Khalil Ahmed and Naik Imtiaz Ahmed were injured. They said the injured were airlifted to army hospital in Udhampur and condition of one of them, Naik Imtiaz Ahmed, is stated to be very critical.
