ACB files chargesheet against R&B official, Others for ‘causing loss to state exchequer’

‘No basic facilities here, Why smart meters?’: Protest in Devsar against installation of ‘Smart Meters’

Danishwar Hameed The Devsar area in south Kashmir's Kulgam district on Monday observed a shutdown to protest against the lack of basic facilities in the area. Speaking to The Kashmiriyat, the locals said that the area lacks all basic facilities including water, sanitation, roads, but the officials want to install 'smart meters' here in the area. "They should avail us quality water, good roads and schools before installing the smart meters," a local resident said. Tributes paid to Dr. Qazi Nisar on death anniversary

Rich tributes were paid to slain Mirwaiz of south Kashmir, Dr. Qazi Nisar on his 28th anniversary at martyrs graveyard in Islamabad district on Sunday. Hundreds of people from all over south Kashmir thronged the Martyrs graveyard in the south Kashmir town and offered Fateh Khawani to the slain patron of Ummat e Islami who was also the architect of the Muslim United Front in 1987. Admin orders regularisation of 200 PDD employees in JK

Police on Sunday claimed to have arrested three over ground workers (OGW) of Al-Badr militant outfit and recovered arms and ammunitions from them at Wagam crossing on highway in Kralgund area of Handwara.
