‘No basic facilities here, Why smart meters?’: Protest in Devsar against installation of ‘Smart Meters’

Danishwar Hameed The Devsar area in south Kashmir's Kulgam district on Monday observed a shutdown to protest against the lack of basic facilities in the area. Speaking to The Kashmiriyat, the locals said that the area lacks all basic facilities including water, sanitation, roads, but the officials want to install 'smart meters' here in the area. "They should avail us quality water, good roads and schools before installing the smart meters," a local resident said.
