Encounter Over at Islamabad-2 Bodies, 2 Weapons Recovered- Full Story

ISLAMABAD

July 25 Two Militants have been killed in the encounter between Militants and Government Forces at Kotwal Gali in Lal Chowk area of South Kashmir's Islamabad township. An encounter pertinently raged in the township after a gap of more than 12 years. Official sources told The Kashmiriyat that 1 RR of Indian Army, Jammu Kashmir Police and 162 BN and 40 BN of CRPF jointly launched the Anti Militancy operation around 1 am. The Encounter started when Militants fired on a patrolling party of Government forces who had laid a cordon around Lal Chowk area around 4: 20 am. Massive Firing heard in Islamabad Township- Internet Suspended

July 25 Massive firing and blasts are being heard in the Islamabad township in South Kashmir's Islamabad (Anantnag) township early morning on Wednesday. Locals told The Kashmiriyat that massive firing is being heard in the township since 4 am after which internet services were immediately suspended. The Police officials said that they do not have any information about any firing incident.

Massive Search Operations Begin in Jhelum to Trace Drowned Islamabad Boy

July 24 The State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) has constituted a Marcos team to trace out the boy who drowned in river Jhelum on Tuesday afternoon. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that Sahir Rashid Trumboo aged 09, a resident of Monawarabad, Khayam drowned while taking bath in the Jhelum river near Nathpora, Khanbal area of South Kashmir's Islamabad (Anantnag) District. The other two boys accompanying him tried to help him, but to no avail and soon when it came to the notice of his relatives in nathpora area they tried to look for him, but all in vain. Woman Dies in a Tractor Accident in Pulwama

July 23 A woman died identified as Jawahira Akhtar of Mangalpora Pulwama in South Kashmir died late night on Sunday when a tractor skidded off the road and fell down into a Nallah. Locals told The Kashmiriyat that the driver of the tractor she was travelling in lost control of the vehicle and resulted into the death of the lady and at least eight others were injured.
