Militant attack in Yaripora Kulgam

July 01 Suspected Militants on Friday attacked Jammu Kashmir Police post in Yaipora area of South Kashmir's Kulgam District. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that unidentified gunmen opened fire on the Police station in the area, however nobody was injured in the attack. The Police confirming the attack said that the alert sentry guard fired some shots in the area to retaliate the possible attack, The area was immediately cordoned off. Details Emerging.

July 13 Nisar Ahmad Bhat son of Ghulam Rasool Bhat resident of Krad, Shangas area of south Kashmir's Islamabad (Anantnag) district was on Friday laid to rest amid pro-freedom and pro-Islam slogans in his native village. The 23 year old was a Tractor driver by profession before leaving his home on Dec 8, 2017 for Bombay to never return back. Grenade diffused in Tral area

July 13 A Grenade was diffused on Friday by bomb disposal squad in Tral area of South kashmir. Sources told The kashmiriyat that a rusty Grenade was found in an orchard at Hayuna area of Tral near encounter site where three jaish militants were killed in an encounter last month. Stone Pelting clashes in Islamabad Area

July 13 Clashes Erupted between Government Forces and Youth in harnag area of South Kashmir's Islamabad (Anantnag) District. The Protesters assembled near the road and threw stones on troopers deployed in the area. The Troopers fired tear smoke shells on the protesters to disperse them. Gunmen assault a retired Army man in Shopian

July 13 Unknown Gunmen barged into the house of a retired Army man at Kanjiular area of south Kashmir's Shopian district late night on Thursday. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that masked men entered the house of retired Army man identified as Nazir Ahmad and assaulted him to pulp. The Army man was soon rushed to the Hospital where the Doctors stated his condition to be stable. The Jammu Kashmir Police has lodged an FIR in this regard and an investigation has been taken up.

Achabal Attack- Two CRPF Men killed, two others injured

July 13 Two CRPF men have been killed and a CRPF trooper injured along with two other civilians in a suspected militant attack in Achabal area on Friday. Intense Stone Pelting Clashes Erupt in Shopian’s Memander

July 11 Intense Stone throwing clashes erupted in Memander area of South Kashmir's Shopian as hundreds of youth hit the streets. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that youth shouting slogans against civilian killings appeared on the roads and the forces deployed in the area fired tear smoke shells on them. The youth in retaliation threw stones on them and tried to chase them away, however the youth regrouped in large numbers and continued the stone throwing.
