12-Year-old Boy Found Dead in Neighbours Tin-Shed in Anantnag

Sheikh Nadeem A minor boy was found dead in under mysterious circumstances in Sallar area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that a 12-year-old boy Showkat Ahmad son Gul Mohammed Dar left home along with some boys from the locality to play in the nearby field. The family started searching him, after he did not return home. During the searches, Showkat was found dead in a tin shed in his neighborhood.

Salman Shah Unknown gunmen fired upon one District development council candidate during the 3rd phase of DDC elections in Jammu Kashmir in Anantnag district of South Kashmir. An official told The Kashmiriyat that a DDC candidate identified as Anees ul ul Islam of Apni party was fired upon by suspected Militants in the Sagam area of South Kashmir's Kokernag area, injuring him critically. Anees was rushed to the nearby hospital for treatment. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that he has sustained two gunshots, but is stable and has been shifted to the District hospital in Anantnag.

The Jammu Kashmir Police on Thursday claimed to have arrested a person along with illicit liquor in the Bijbehara area of South Kashmir's Islamabad (Anantnag) district. As per a Police communique, the Police raided the shop of Mohammad Syed Shah who is a resident of Pamposh Mohalla Bijbehra near Sumo stand Bijbehra and seized a huge quantity of illicit liquor from his possession. The accused was detained along with 200 Whiskey bottles and 36 Tins Kingfisher Strong Beer (500ml). A Case FIR 247/2020 U/S 50 Excise Act has been registered in this regard.

Sheikh Nadeem A 18 year old boy died on wednesday evening after falling from the roof top of Sumo in Nowbugh area of South Kashmirs Anantnag A police official confirmed to The Kashmiriyat that an 18 year old youth fell down from the roof top of Sumo in Nowbugh larnoo and was rushed to a nearby PHC for treatment where doctors declared brought to dead. The deceased identified was identified as Riyaz Akhoon Son of Ghulam Mohammad Akhoon resident of Gawran.
