Four youth sustained injuries after an unexploded device went off at Sirhama, Anantnag gunfight site where two LeT militants were killed in the morning today. Of the four injured, two were referred to Srinagar for specialized treatment, officials said. A police official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the incident took place as a group of people were clearing debris from the house razed to the ground during the gunfight where two militants were killed. “The banners were already erected there, appealing people not to venture near the spot. Salman Shah The Additional District Magistrate Anantnag Mr. Gulzar Ahmad along with Tehsildar of Anantnag, Abdul Wasi Rouf Deva, NT Nazir Ahmad and staff members of Tehsil office Anantnag on Wednesday, issued 400 offline Domiciles at Achabal, Dialgam, Laram Ganjpora and Khabal (Nayabat) to the desired applicants on the spot. Waris Shah Fire broke out in a shop at South Kashmir's Mehndi Kadel Area of Anantnag district, resulting in damage to several shops. An official told The Kashmiriyat that the fire was brought under control with the help of fire tenders. The fire broke out from the Hilal Motors shops which are situated at Mehndi Kadel Anantnag of one Abdul Gani and Abdul Salam R/o Mehndi Kadel Anantnag. Due to electricity short circuit the shops got fully damaged, said the official. In this regard no loss of life has been witnessed, the official stated.

Man Dies Constructing the Minaret of a Masjid in Anantnag

Waris Shah A Carpenter slipped to death during the construction of a Minaret of the Masjid in Nowgam area of Verinag in south Kashmir's Anantnag district on Sunday morning. An official told The Kashmiriyat that Mohammad Yousuf Dar son of Mohammed Ambar Dar, who is a resident of Khudwani area in Kulgam fell down while working at the minaret of a mosque in Nowgam, resulting in his on spot death. The official said that the body of the deceased was handed over to his relatives for last rites. The Jammu Kashmir Police has launched an investigation into the incident under section 174 CrPC.
