Kulgad Residents Out on Streets to Protest Power Crisis in the Area

ISLAMABAD
January 28 The resident of Kulgad area in Achabal belt of Islamabad (Anantnag) district in South Kashmir on Monday morning demanded the restoration of electricity in the area. Shouting slogans against the Power Development Department, scores of people said that electricity has been playing only "hide and seek" with them. The residents of this south Kashmir village are facing the worst power supply ever, they alleged. The residents demanded the restoration of electricity in the area.

Republic Day Commemorated in Islamabad (Anantnag) District, Tehsildar Unfurls Flag in Kokernag

January 26 Likewise other parts of the state, the 70th Republic Day was commemorated at Islamabad(anantnag) district also. No Grenade Attack in Sirigufwara, Says Police

January 25 The Jammu Kashmir Police has said that no grenade attack has happened on Sirigfwara Police station in Islamabad (anantnag) district. A Police official while speaking to The Kashmiriyat said that an attack happened in Islamabad (anantnag) township near General Bus stand in which one policeman sustained minor injuries. He refuted the reports of any attack having happened in Sirigufwara. Consecutive Governments Fail to Link Kulgad Village With Main Road

January 24 Waris Shah The dilapidated condition of Kulgad link road has irked the local Residents. While showing concern over the deplorable condition of Kulgad Link Road, the local residents  have appealed to the authorities to initiate construction of the road. The road is in worst condition since three years and has turned into muddy, they said and added that the Government has failed to  to take any initiative for the maintenance. January 22 Amid Snowfall, Unscheduled power cuts in various areas of the Shangus area in South Kashmir's Islamabad (anantnag) District have evoked strong resentment among consumers. Residents of Brari Angan Utersoo told The Kashmiriyat that Area is reeling under darkness from past several weeks. “We hardly receive power supply for three to four hours in a day. The power outages have become a major concern here and despite the matter being brought to notice of Authorities many a time, the situation has not improved.
